Our Mission

Supporting high-quality healthcare to the people of Tanzania, East Africa with the goal of local self-sustainability.

Our History

New Hope International Health (NHIH) is a Christian 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that began in 1990 with a plan to convert a building into a small, rural medical clinic. Located in Sakila—a small village about 25 miles from Arusha—the clinic originally operated through visiting medical teams from the United States who occasionally traveled there to provide essential care. These teams served all villagers regardless of age, nationality, disability, gender, or religion.

Through the vision, efforts, and financial support of dedicated individuals over the past decades, the NHIH Clinic has grown into a government-licensed healthcare facility, fully staffed by a Tanzanian medical team, serving under-resourced rural communities.
